About this volunteering opportunity

As part of the Horizon Centre Team in Brighton your project will be to collate and review the data available for the Horizon Centre for 2018 and pull this into a report. This report will show use of specific support services, such as Complementary Therapy and counselling, to highlight the impact and need for these services.

Please note this is a 12 week internship, 3 days per week between Monday and Friday.
The start date is Monday 24th June 2019 and the internship will end on Friday 11th September 2019.
The exact days you will volunteer per week, can be discussed and agreed with the intern manager at interview.

Successful applicants will be invited to an interview, which will be held at the Brighton Horizon Centre on Thursday 16th May.

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity

Your intern manager will meet with you regularly for 121 support, as well as a mentor throughout the internship and a full training and development package run centrally by the Macmillan recruitment to develop and enhance your skills further.

As part of your internship you will attend 5 training days with 3 workshops focused specifically on career management and employability skills as well as presentation skills, effective conversations workshop and action learning sets.

It will put you in a great position to get started if you’re considering a career in the charity sector. We will help you apply for positions with us when they come up and your time with us will give your application a real boost.

Skills or experience needed for this opportunity

• Well organised and enthusiastic
• Some understanding and experience of monitoring and evaluation
• Good use of IT skills – such as Word, Excel etc.
• Ability to work independently, with lots of initiative
