About this volunteering opportunity

Our Volunteer Coordinator will need volunteer assistant coordinators to support the various teams of volunteers from Volunteer HQ throughout the day. There will be 2 shifts, from 9am-2.30pm and 2-7pm.

About this organisation

Kemptown Carnival is Brighton’s largest free community arts street festival, attracting over 30,000 attendees.

The Carnival is, at its heart, a community event and needs lots of volunteer support to be able to run. There are a variety of roles available both in the lead up to the event and on the day, from education and work experience opportunities to artistic input to management support to, most importantly, community enthusiasm and participation!

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity

A full volunteer welcome briefing and health and safety run through will take place on Sat 18th May, in the afternoon. Volunteer Assistant Coordinators will be stationed in Volunteer HQ on Upper Bedford St, and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Skills or experience needed for this opportunity

No experience necessary. If you’re organised, great at communicating, looking out for other people, get in touch!
