About this volunteering opportunity

To volunteer for between 2-6 hours per week.

To research potential funding sources from trusts and grant making bodies. Using criteria related to Assert and its activities to list a range of potential and suitable funders. This will be documented in a spreadsheet where key information relating to each funder will be listed. For example: core or project costs, amounts awarded and deadlines for applications.

To email/ mail out to smaller trusts with appeal requests where no formal application forms exists.

Researching other funding platforms would also be helpful. For example looking at sponsored events, selling on Ebay, crowd funding and trading possibilities.

About this organisation

Assert (B&H) is a small charity, dedicated to the welfare of adults with Asperger syndrome (AS) or High Functioning Autism (HFA) and their families who live in the city of Brighton and Hove.

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity

There will be a training evening that you will need to attend that will include an introduction to autism and the chance to attend our monthly social drop in and meet some of our members. These training sessions are always on a Tuesday.

Skills or experience needed for this opportunity

Experience of fundraising is essential and the ability to research new opportunities
