About this volunteering opportunity

This is a flexible role for people who are passionate about adoption and can spare time to help with PACT's events programme which include information evenings for potential adopters, training for our adopters, manning external event stands, family fun days and carol concerts as well providing well-earned encouragement to our supporters fundraising through challenges and essential administrative support.
Our events are held in and around Reading, London and Brighton so there's always lots going on.

Founded in 1911, PACT Parents and Children Together) is a charity covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Brighton and the Greater London area. Our core objectives are to build and strengthen family life and to improve the life changes and maximise the potential of adults and children by responding to unmet need.

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity

All volunteers have a HR and manager induction to go through everything they need to know before starting.

We require all volunteers to do an online safeguarding course so everyone is at the same basic level awareness.

You will have regular supervisions with your manager to check how you are getting on and gives you an opportunity to ask questions etc.

Skills or experience needed for this opportunity

This is a great opportunity to get involved with PACT, no matter how much or how little time you are able to share. There are numerous events to help out with throughout the year and we are always looking for people who enjoy meeting and helping people. If you are a team player who loves the satisfaction of helping an event to run as smoothly as possible, we would love to hear from you.
