Health Walk Facilitator For Autism Charity with Assert

About this volunteering opportunity

The aim of this role is to assist staff with the facilitating of our monthly health walk,
The walks are chosen at various locations in Brighton and surrounding areas, some rural and some urban.
The walks last for between 1 and 4 hours and are held on the last Saturday of every month
You would be required to help encourage conversation, and assist clients in a supportive, gentle manner.
The walks are not overly strenuous but a moderate level of fitness would be required.
This a lovely opportunity to get to know some very interesting people and discover some of the lovely areas in and around Brighton.

About this organisation

Assert (B&H) is a small charity, dedicated to the welfare of adults with Asperger syndrome (AS) or High Functioning Autism (HFA) and their families who live in the city of Brighton and Hove. We provide advocacy and offer assistance with: gaining diagnosis/receiving support from statutory services, housing, benefits, education etc.
