About this volunteering opportunity


As A Tea-bar assistant you will serve tea, coffee and toast in the mornings.
Engage members in conversation.
Assist with serving of lunch.
General kitchen duties, including cleaning and tidying of the kitchen.
Assist with serving Tea and coffee after lunch.

About this organisation

Somerset Day Centre is a stand alone charity offering day services for people aged 50 . The Day Centre is open 4 days a week, Mon - Thurs. We provide a nutritious lunch social interaction, a wide range of activities, trips out, exercises such as Pilates, Tai Chi and entertainment along with daily exercises. We provide a happy, fun environment that our members enjoy coming to.

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity


All appropriate training is offered including, Induction, Food safety, Safer people moving for Day Centres.

Skills or experience needed for this opportunity


A friendly and welcoming personality is most desirable. An affinity for working with older people. Experience or the desire to work as part of a team, with good communication.
