About this organisation

Blank Sands is a is a non-commercial artist-led initiative with a focus on contemporary sculpture and installation inspired by the industrial landscape. We make and exhibit at BLANK Studios and Gallery, offering free exhibitions and events to the general public. We seek to develop a community in Brighton to explore contemporary art, engage people through art and making, and interact with the environment with new perspectives and imagination.

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity

There will be a general induction with volunteers, to discuss our aims and objectives and specific details relevant to the role. We will listen to the needs and goals of the volunteers and assign suitable tasks or provide guidance for them to learn new skills in areas where they do not have previous experience.

As a small artist collective we will work openly with volunteers to provide a happy working environment and a successful exhibition for visitors and exhibiting artists. We are always available to listen to any issues or questions volunteers have and provide creative opportunities where suitable.
