About this volunteering opportunity

Helping the group to catalogue; archive and caption photographs in the group's collection. Help group members and others in the community tell their stories and record their stories. Help organise events and activities for the 10th Anniversary year 2013/14 including exhibition and special community project

Collects information, stories photos and memorabilia relating to history of East Brighton; publishes results; helps others tell their stories; monthly meetings with presentations; community events festivals and exhibitions 10 yrs old in 2013

Induction, training and support offered with this opportunity

Induction to the organisation and its facilities and activities will be provided by the group and training will be offered in local history work

Skills or experience needed for this opportunity

Interest in local history; proficiency with computers to open photographs stored electronically and to scan photographs would be ideal but training can be given Ability to work on own initiative and establish good links with people in the community would be desirable.
