Post and deliveries

Post is sorted by our receptionist and put into groups' pigeonholes at the back of reception. Parcels should be collected as soon as possible. Please let our receptionist know if you do not want deliveries to be accepted on behalf of your group.

Our receptionist will sign for recorded or registered post and parcels arriving at reception for your group unless you request us not to do so. Community Base does not take responsibility for post, parcels or other deliveries left at reception even if signed for by our receptionist.

Groups can use the Community Base franking machine on the first floor landing next to the photocopier to frank mail.

Groups can use the Brighton and Hove City Council courier service to send mail free to Brighton and Hove Council and other local organisations such as hospitals, courts the Argus and so on. Post for the courier service should be put in the blue box under the pigeonholes at the back of reception and is collected every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. If you want to know more about the courier service ask our receptionist.

Groups can leave parcels or letters to be collected from Community Base at reception for a short period at the group's own risk. Such parcels should be clearly marked with the name of the carrier due to collect it and the name and address of who it is to be sent to. Letters that have not been collected within two or three days will be marked uncollected and put back in your pigeonhole.
