Community Base recognises that many community and voluntary groups work in partnership with other community and voluntary groups, statutory agencies and others to deliver services.
All participant groups at Community Base have the right to join partnerships and devote staff time and other resources to partnership working.
The Community Base board of trustees has a duty to ensure that Community Base is, and is seen to be, a home only for community and voluntary groups.
Only the Community Base board of trustees has the right to give permission to an organisation to use Community Base as a postal address, provide services from Community Base or suggest that it or its services are based at or run from Community Base.
The following organisations have the right to use Community Base as a postal address
participant groups specified in the ‘use' clause of a licence to occupy and listed at www.communitybase.org/groups
projects wholly run by and as part of a participant group (eg a publication or particular piece of work) and listed at www.communitybase.org/projects
community or voluntary groups with permission to use Community Base as a postal address and listed at www.communitybase.org/postaladdress.
In this policy organisation refers to any project, partnership, network, publication, website or other entity with an identity in the public domain whatever its legal identity or ownership.
This policy will be reviewed at least every calendar year.
