Policy on long service leave

  1. After seven years of continuous employment all Community Base staff will be entitled to paid long service leave.
  2. Long service leave is designed to reward and encourage long service by Community Base staff.
  3. Long service leave will accrue at a rate of five days for every full year of employment served on the date long service leave is first taken.
  4. A staff member wishing to take long service leave must give their line manager sufficient notice of doing so to allow any arrangements necessary to cover their absence to be made.
  5. This policy will be reviewed by the board of trustees at least every calendar year.
