Response Services comprises of three separate floating support services; Crisis Response Service, Support Response Service and Rough Sleepers’ Initiative. This job is in the Rough Sleepers Initiative, which provides accommodation and move-on support for people who have come from rough sleepers’ hostels, as part of band 3 of Brighton and Hove City Council’s Integrated Support Pathway.

The post holder will provide floating support to vulnerable people with histories of rough sleeping and often substance misuse, with an emphasis on relapse prevention and working towards independent living.

Experience of working with vulnerable people along with exceptional inter-personal skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries whilst working on a casework basis are all essential to this post.

Previous housing related support experience is desirable as you will be fully responsible for all day to day aspects of housing management within the scheme.

Travel is a requirement of the role: you will be expected to utilise public transport when supporting clients to appointments.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Project Worker to make a big difference in a frontline service based in central Brighton.

We are looking for a full-time Project Worker to join our small, dedicated team where you will lead the implementation and development of our move-on support with young people. This role will focus on the delivery of case-work support to our client group - young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or insecurely housed - giving them the information, advice and support to move on to independent living. You will also be directly involved in planning and delivering creative and skills building activities and off-site activities, which may include occasional residential courses.

As a small team with a large volunteer staff, you'll need to be involved in all aspects of our day centre running, as well as contributing to relationship building with external agencies, contributing to service delivery monitoring and review and occasional deputising for the Project Manager.

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a frontline service working with young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are homeless or insecurely housed. We provide crisis and move-on support from our Brighton based day centre to help young people get their lives back on track.
